Fantasy Premier League Forwards – Premium Options for Premium Prices

In FPL this season, there are two forwards who sit atop the league both in price and ownership – Tottenham’s Harry Kane (12.5m, 36.5% owned) and Romelu Lukaku (11.5m, 48.7% owned.) Both finished at the top of last year’s scoring and their prices this season reflect their strong and consistent output. Kane and Lukaku are great options in both traditional and draft formats, and will likely be selected 1-2 in the draft. However, fitting both into your traditional lineups will be a difficult task and will leave the rest of your lineup very thin.

Among the cheaper options at the striker position, here are two of our favourites.

Roberto Firmino (8.5m, 18.9% owned)

Liverpool’s high-flying attack showed no signs of slowing down in the pre-season. With Daniel Sturridge injured and Philippe Coutinho potentially off to Barcelona, Firmino will likely spearhead Jurgen Klopp’s high octane offence.

Chicharito (7.0m, 21.1% owned)

The Mexican International has the fifth highest all-time goals per minute ratio in the Premier League (130.2 minutes per goal.) After finding success in the Bundesliga, Chicharito returns to the Premier League where he will look to reignite West Ham’s offence.
